Like the site think it's a wonderful idea and glad to have this medium that can connect us all from every area of the globe. We should work on ideas that can help elevate this concept of connecting and educating everyone about the Fakhoury lineage to varying levels. There is a Fakhoury family tree that was produced that would be nice to share and comapre with other Fakhourys who may have their own or one that is more updated.

Thanks Sajah! I'm always happy to hear of other Fakhoury family members. This site helped me connect with quite a few people from all over the world. There are many Facebook groups dedicated to the Fakhourys. You'd be surpried to see how many members these groups have.

I searched the name Fakhoury in google and happened to come across this page. This is a great idea. My father has told me about the history of our family and how it started out with three brothers. I am amazed to see how many Fakhoury (i)'s there are. Such a big and prideful family. I never knew that there were Fajuri in Chile, very interesting. Goodluck!

Hello Maram - I've also heard the story of three (or more?) brothers who settled in Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine. Crusaders and Muslims occupied the region over the centuries, so I assume each family adopted the dominant religion at that time. My dad can yap about the family history for hours. He and your mom should get together :)

I am told if you search back far enough the family had 3 brothers whom split but moving away from each other demographicly... one in Jordan, one in Palestine, and one in Lebanon. Jordan Fakhouri's are Christian and the name is spelled either with and I or Y at the end. The Fakhouri's in Lebanon, and Palestine are split between Christian and Muslim. My mother is wonderful with the family history. And knows a great deal.

Hi Evelyn - It's nice to make your acquaintance. Thanks for the greetings! So Fajuri is Fakhoury in Spanish pronunciation? That's interesting! I'll look up the group on Facebook.

I am very happy to know about you. My grand father arrived to Chile from Jordan. Here, people change the last name from Fakhouri to Fajuri (spanish pronounciation). Congratulations for your family. See our kids in the Facebook group "Los Fajuri" Bye
